Terms and conditions of sale

1. Contract of sale

In the event of placing an order to purchase product from The UK Office Ltd, an e-mail will be sent to you confirming receipt of your order and providing the details of your order. The order placed represents an offer to The UK Office Ltd to purchase an item, which is accepted by us upon an e-mail confirmation being sent to you that the product has been dispatched. Acceptance of the order is complete when the Delivery Confirmation E-mail has been sent to you. Any items on the order placed that we have not detailed in a Delivery Confirmation E-mail as being dispatched do not form part of that contract.

2. Returns policy

All customers of The UK Office Ltd in the European Union are entitled to a statutory cooling-off period of seven business days. This means that if for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, you can return it to us in its original condition within 7 days of the date you received the item, unopened (with any seals and shrink-wrap intact) and we will issue a full refund for the price you paid for the item. We can only accept the return of opened items if they are faulty. Details of this statutory right and an explanation of how to exercise it are provided in the order confirmation e-mail.

We are unable to exchange items that are not damaged, defective or incorrect.

Damaged

If you take delivery of a package from The UK Office Ltd via our specified courier and the contents have been damaged in transit, you can return the item(s) to us within 7 days of receipt for exchange. Please contact us for collection of the item to be arranged.

Defective

It is within your rights to return a faulty item within a reasonable period of time. All warranty information accompanying your purchase should be retained, as this may be required if there is a fault. If the unlikely event occurs that a fault develops, you may find it advantageous to contact the manufacturer direct to diagnose and solve the problem for you. If you choose to return the item to The UK Office, please contact us for arrangement of shipping.

Incorrect

In the event that you find that we have sent an incorrect item, please contact us and we will arrange collection of the item. After receipt of the incorrect delivery we will send you the correct item as soon as we can.

3. Product price and availability

We do not list availability information for products sold by us on the website, however as soon as an order is placed we will contact you via email with the current availability of the item and the likely delivery date. Please note that delivery estimates are not guaranteed delivery times, and so should not be relied upon as such. Upon processing your order, you will be informed by e-mail of any products that are unavailable.

On occasion products in our online store can be mispriced. Please be assured that we verify prices as part of our dispatch procedures. If the product has a price below the price provided on the website, the lower amount will be charged. If the price is above the stated price, we will contact you for instructions based on the correct product price before dispatch. Using the paypal payment facility, any payment instruction placed is not complete until The UK Office Ltd accept transaction. Be assured that any overpayment or underpayment will not be taken unless authority has been provided by you.

4. Customs procedures

Any goods purchased from The UK Office Ltd for delivery overseas may be subject to import duties and taxes. These are calculated upon the parcel reaching the specified destination. All charges for customs clearance are to be borne by you, the receiver; The UK Office Ltd does not have control over such charges and is not able to predict any values. Customs policies are different for each country and we advise that you contact your local customs office to obtain more information. Any order placed with The UK Office Ltd considers you as the importer of record and requires that you comply with all laws and regulations of the country designated as the delivey address. The UK Office Ltd respects your privacy and knows that you care about how information about your order is used and shared. However, all international customers must be aware that cross-border deliveries are subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities.

5. Minors

The UK Office Ltd do not sell products intended for purchase by minors. If you are aged under 18, you may only use our online store if a a parent or guardian is involvement.

6. Electronic communications

Visiting The UK Office Ltd website or sending e-mails to us, involves electronic communication. Our communications with you may involve e-mail or providing notices on the company website. As part of our contractual process, you provide consent to receive email communications from us and you accept that all agreements, notices, disclosures and other electronic communications satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing. 7. Changes to Service or to the Conditions

Customers are subject to all policies and conditions of sale in force at the time of using the website, or when you place an order with us, unless any alteration of these policies or conditions is required by law or government authority (which will also apply to any orders previously placed by you). If any conditions is considered invalid, void, or unenforceable, the condition will be considerd severable and will not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining condition.

8. Events beyond our reasonable control

The UK Office Ltd will not be held responsible for delay or failure to comply with our obligations under these conditions if the delay or failure arises from any cause which is beyond our reasonable control. This condition does not affect your statutory rights.

9. Waiver

If these conditions are breached by you and no action is taken, our rights and remedies in any other situation where you breach these conditions will not be affected.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, and the application of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods is expressly excluded. You agree, as we do, to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom
